Sugar packaging
There are several types of packaging available for transporting sugar, the choice of which depends mainly on the manufacturer. One option is factory packaging, where sugar is packed in packages with a maximum net weight of 50 kg or 25 kg, which complies with the standards. Another option is final packaging for direct sale.
Insurance of sugar cargoes
It is equally important to insure the cargo for its real value. In the event of damage, road accidents or other unforeseen circumstances, the insurance will cover the costs associated with the loss or damage of the goods. The carrier's liability is always insured for UAH 4,000,000.00.
Sugar transport conditions
When transporting sugar, it is necessary to ensure proper conditions in the vehicle, including ease of cleaning and sterility. This ensures that the products are not contaminated by the remains of the previous cargo. The use of special cleaning agents suitable for food contact is a must.
Compliance with standards
It is very important to comply with the standards applicable to the transport of foodstuffs (particularly sugar), especially for international transport within Europe, where the regulations of the destination country must also be taken into account. Storage, loading and transport regulations must always be observed.
Sugar transport and storage
Sugar can be transported by various modes of transport, but if it is packed in plastic bags and sacks, it can only be transported by road.
To transport sugar by road, sacks of sugar are placed on wooden pallets or the body of the vehicle is covered with tarpaulin, paper or clean waste paper. After loading, the bags or boxes are covered with tarpaulin.
Sacks of sugar are transported from the vehicle to the warehouse using mobile sectional plate conveyors or other types of containers and forklifts. This equipment allows sugar cargoes to be transported efficiently and safely, minimising the risk of damage during loading and unloading.
